Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) with pediatric/NICU experience for a night shift position at a Level IV Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in the RRT unit providing care to critical care and general care adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7p-7a, weekdays with some weekends required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities
• Open to accommodating block scheduling, though not guaranteed
• Uses Cerner charting system
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required, with pediatric/NICU experience required
• BLS and RRT certification required
• ACLS and PALS certification required
• NALS and NRP certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric critical care settings preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, airway management, and medication delivery systems preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, general care, and pediatric populations including NICU
• Work at a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital affiliated with the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking for travelers
• Orientation held every other Monday
• RTO requests must be submitted two weeks prior to the next schedule and approved by management
• Accepts local candidates within 100 miles; candidates between 75-100 miles considered case-by-case at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last employment date before returning as a traveler
• Current Vandalia Health System employees are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system
