Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN with 2 years of experience and an active SC or compact RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Patient population includes various disease processes such as respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 0700-1930
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to facility need
• Floating required to other MS/Tele units or facilities based on census needs
• Uses Omnicell medication system and EPIC documentation system
• Charge RN present every shift to assist with flow and oversee operations

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg Tele required, though candidates with 1+ years of recent unit experience will be considered
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Must have MS/Tele competencies and pass an EKG exam
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, wound care/wound vac, and respiratory and renal care

• Provide direct patient care to a general medical surgical population with telemetry monitoring needs
• Participate in a supportive, team-oriented unit with a healthy work environment
• Complete pre-assignment testing and required modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Attend orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
