Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring at least one year of IMU/PCU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac IMU/PCU unit with 24 total beds
• Patient ratio up to 5:1
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 13-week assignment
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Floating to adult units as needed
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR
• Unit cares for medical trauma patients and performs procedures such as thoracentesis and chest tube placement

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent IMU/PCU experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Meditech Expanse experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide standard nursing care including medication administration, assessments, reassessments, and documentation in Meditech Expanse
• Care for patients post heart catheterization
• Friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused personality preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
