Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring charge nurse experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit with 12 beds and a 2:1 patient ratio
• Circulates C-sections as part of unit procedures
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements
• Floating as needed per unit policy
• Unit supported by a unit tech each shift and a unit secretary on day shift
• Documentation performed in Meditech

Requirements

• Active TX RN License or compact license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Must have charge nurse experience and be willing to work charge
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced, or NCCEFM)
• RNC certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery setting, including circulating for C-sections
• Facility provides scrubs for RN staff
• Dress code requires neat, clean hair with no extreme styles or colors, and visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Body art should be covered when feasible
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
