Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift acute care hospital position requiring ventilator and tracheostomy management experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting on the Telemetry unit
- 189 staffed beds
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to Med Surg and to a sister facility
- No on-call responsibilities
- Any scrub color permitted
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (CPI preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response coordination
- May float to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance
- Must reside within 50 miles for local rate consideration
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Former permanent staff may return after a 3-month waiting period if outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Pending licenses are not accepted
