Description
American Traveler is hiring an Oncology RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, ONS Chemo & Biotherapy certification, and at least 2 years of concurrent oncology experience.

- Oncology unit setting within a hospital
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
- Uses EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license in hand at time of consideration (Temp or Perm, no EMSA)
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification required
- Minimum 2 years of concurrent experience in oncology specialty, with 1.5 years continuous experience in specialty required
- EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience required within the last 6 months
- Travel nursing experience required, including 1 year total travel experience and 6+ months of continuous travel experience leading up to consideration
- 1 supervisory-level professional reference required
- Valid copies of all required certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide oncology nursing care on the night shift
- Candidates must live outside a 100-mile radius to be eligible (does not apply to LVNs/MAs)
- Candidates on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months or longer are considered local and not eligible
- No gaps in travel experience permitted within the last 6 months, except for minimal pre-approved vacations or onboarding/relocation periods
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
- Returning staff and travelers may reapply after a 1-year waiting period
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off, with no additional requests after consideration
- Interview availability required, including specific days, times, and time zone
- Float requirements may apply depending on unit needs; details to be discussed during interview
