Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for an outpatient setting requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT M and ARRT R certifications.
Details
- Outpatient mammography setting
- 5x8 day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Performs prone and upright biopsies using Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX equipment
- Procedures include 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
Requirements
- ARRT M and ARRT R certifications required
- BLS certification required
- MD Radiographer license required, if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience required within the last 7 years
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment, unless full mammo competency is demonstrated
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years
Additional Information
- Flu vaccine required for all employees
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Returning MedStar employees must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates accepted from within a 60-mile radius at a lower local rate
- Manager interviews are not guaranteed
