Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular experience for day shift coverage.
Details
- Supports vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular procedures
- Performs adult diagnostic angiography, guidewire and catheter-based procedures, and percutaneous biopsies
- Functions as scrub, monitor, and fluoroscopy technologist in single- and biplane environments
- Assists with sheath insertion, groin sealant, and stabilization for OR 28, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular cases
- Operates equipment in interventional radiology, OR 28, and neuro-interventional suites
- Cares for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Monday through Friday schedule, either 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Neuro lab call coverage approximately one week every four weeks, plus 2-4 additional backup call days per month
- Total call commitment of approximately 9-11 days per month
- Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of call notification
Requirements
- Experience with vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular cases
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program or RCIS credential through Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- ARRT (VI) certification preferred; IR experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience working in large healthcare facilities
- Previous travel experience required, though highly experienced candidates may be considered case-by-case
Additional Information
- Follows all radiation safety policies and procedures for patients, coworkers, and self
- Collaborates with physicians and the multidisciplinary procedural team
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
- Former permanent staff are not eligible for travel roles for 10 years following separation
- Travelers must take a 6-month break after completing 2 consecutive contracts before returning, with exceptions considered case-by-case
- Pre-start modules required prior to starting assignment
