Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring fetal monitoring certification and TX or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- 13-week travel assignment
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Full-time work type
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact)
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current NRP certification required
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Current certification in AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- BSN preferred
- 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent perinatal setting experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate, with local candidates considered only when designated
- Previous CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
