Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN requiring EKG proficiency and Epic experience for a hospital contract in Glenview, IL.

Details

• Work in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit handling boarded patients in the Emergency Department (not direct ED patients)
• Floating required to other Medical-Surgical units when not needed in the ED
• 12-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every-other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license (temporary licenses accepted with proof of permanent license application submission)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, 4+ years preferred
• EKG proficiency required with a passing score of 80% or higher prior to starting, documented in employment history
• Epic EMR experience required
• New graduates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Care for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry patients boarded in the ED and other MS units as needed
• Must pass an on-site EKG test during Day 1 orientation (pass/fail) after receiving a study book in advance
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away from the facility for at least 12 months to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract
• Two current professional references required from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse within the specialty area, dated within the last year, with at least one travel reference preferred
