Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 12-hour day shift contract requiring 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based ICU setting caring for inpatient Med/Surg/Tele admissions
• 12-hour day shift schedule
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• First to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent application is in process)
• Active BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
• NIHSS certification required
• Must pass EKG test with 80% or higher score prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test during Day 1 orientation to continue the assignment
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required
• New graduates not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the last year required, with at least one travel reference preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg/Tele inpatients in an ICU setting
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Candidates will participate in a brief 10-15 minute interview with the hospital
