Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med/Surg Tele with at least 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience and Epic proficiency for a 12-hour day shift contract in Evanston, IL.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry unit caring for inpatient admissions
• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• First to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent application is in process)
• BLS certification required (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required
• New graduates not accepted
• Must pass EKG test with 80% or higher score prior to start, and pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Care for Med/Surg/Telemetry inpatient population
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent/per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Facility conducts a brief interview (approximately 10-15 minutes) as part of the hiring process
