Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift contract requiring 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital setting caring for inpatient Med/Surg/Tele admissions
• 12-hour night shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required, with priority to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; temporary licenses accepted if proof of permanent application submission is provided
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required
• New graduates will not be considered
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration, plus an onsite pass/fail EKG test on Day 1
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant area within the last year required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg/Tele inpatients
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for 12 months to be considered as a traveler
• RTO limited based on contract length: up to 3 days for 8-week contracts and up to 7 days for 13-week contracts
• A brief facility interview of approximately 10-15 minutes is required prior to starting
