Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift contract requiring 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• ICU setting caring for inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry admissions
• 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM start)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Required to float first to other Med/Surg/Telemetry units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; temporary license accepted if proof of permanent license application submission is provided
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required (American Heart Association preferred; American Red Cross accepted for BLS)
• 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience required
• New graduates not accepted
• Must pass EKG test with 80% or higher score prior to start, plus an on-site pass/fail EKG test on Day 1
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the relevant specialty area, dated within the last year

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care to Med/Surg/Tele inpatients in an ICU setting
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break in service before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts or 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Candidates should be prepared for a brief facility interview as part of the hiring process
