Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a 6-week day shift contract requiring IL licensure and prior Med-Surg/Telemetry experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Telemetry unit setting
• Day shift schedule, 36 hours per week, 7a-7p
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Required to float to all four MS/Tel units within the facility
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Active BLS certification required (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to starting
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on first day of orientation to continue the assignment
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• New graduates not accepted
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge nurse within the last year required
• A travel reference is preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care across multiple Med-Surg/Telemetry units
• Orientation includes 8 hours of classroom training followed by unit-based orientation on the first shift
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been separated for at least 12 months to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Candidates will participate in a brief facility interview, approximately 10-15 minutes
