Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work on a 40-bed Ortho/General Surgical Progressive Care Unit
• Patient ratios of 4:1, which may flex up to 6:1 depending on staffing and acuity
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required, with driver's license address matching the Board of Nursing address on file
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Degree accreditation verification required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
• Address, email, full date of birth, full SSN, and RN license number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for ortho and general surgical patients within a progressive care setting
• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate fully into unit culture
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application; no RTO approved after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday; candidates must be in the area on this day for badge and ID processing
• Strict 50-mile radius rule enforced; candidates may not own or cosign property within this radius
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documentation
• Candidates must be willing to secure full-time housing in the area rather than commuting from outside the region
