Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience including OR/intraoperative TEE for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

Supports OR, inpatient, outpatient, and cath lab echocardiography services
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Caseload of 5-8 cases per day, averaging 5 scans daily
Weekend call required every 3-4 weeks depending on staffing needs
On-call requirement of one week every 3-4 weeks depending on staffing needs
No floating outside of the department
Temp-to-perm opportunity available

Requirements

One of the following registrations required: RDCS (Adult Echocardiography) by ARDMS, RCS by CCI, or Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT
BLS certification required
License required if applicable
Minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience required
OR/intraoperative TEE experience required
Graduate of an accredited echocardiogram, cardiovascular sonography, or equivalent program required

Additional Information

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms, and other cardiac ultrasound procedures per physician orders
Apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology to obtain diagnostic-quality images
Ensure proper documentation and labeling of studies per departmental and accreditation standards
Work independently on assignments of limited to moderate complexity with general guidance
Collaborate with cardiologists and referring providers to clarify orders and ensure appropriate study selection
Adhere to established protocols and regulatory standards such as IAC and ASE
Participate in routine equipment maintenance and quality control procedures
May assist with patient education regarding procedures and preparation
Hospital-laundered scrubs provided for OR duties, navy or black scrubs otherwise
