Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PCU/Stepdown position requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the PCU/Stepdown unit of a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- Cardiac and stepdown patient population with 1:4-5 patient ratios
- Float required to Telemetry or Med-Surg floors when overstaffed, with travelers floating first
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown RN experience required
- Cardiac drip titration and management experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Provide care to PCU/Stepdown patients requiring cardiac monitoring, drip titration, and respiratory management
- Responsibilities include dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team involvement, and wound care
- Scrub color for RNs is any color
- No parking fees at this facility
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Candidates may choose either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel RN and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Only one submission allowed per Providence facility at a time
