Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and NBCOT certification.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital setting within a teaching hospital environment
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Every Saturday work required
- Block schedule accommodation available (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday)
- Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs, including to nearby affiliate hospitals
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, including at least 1 year of acute care experience
- BLS certification required
- NBCOT certification required
- Licensed in OR and WA required (license required if applicable)
- Active license required at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
- Epic charting experience required for consideration
- Experience with diverse conditions including CVA rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological disorders preferred
- Skills in plan of care, reassessments, and pre-discharge planning preferred
Additional Information
- Provide patient and family education, safety and injury prevention guidance, and support with activities of daily living
- Work within a teaching hospital environment with potential float assignments to affiliate hospitals nearby
- Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Returning staff must have been gone 6+ months to be eligible for a new travel assignment
- RTO must be submitted upfront and should not exceed 2 weeks
- COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted
