Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Room night shift position requiring Epic experience and a current IL RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Room of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 scheduled hours per week
• Every third weekend required (Friday/Saturday nights)
• Holiday coverage required
• No floating or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, 5+ years preferred
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• New graduates will not be considered
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the area applied to, dated within the last year
• Resume, skills checklist, and copies of certifications and license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment
• Candidates must complete an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• An on-site EKG test is administered on Day 1 of orientation and must be passed to continue the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been separated for at least 12 months to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts
• A brief onsite interview (10-15 minutes) is conducted by the facility prior to placement
