Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring current Medical-Surgical and PCU/Stepdown experience plus charge nurse experience.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit in a critical access hospital setting
- Patient ratio of up to 6:1, supported by LNAs, a Nurse Lead, and a House Supervisor
- Uses EPIC EMR
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 3 years of current Medical-Surgical experience required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience required
- Charge nurse experience required
- EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
- Medical-Surgical and Stepdown/PCU skills checklists current within 1 year required
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
Additional Information
- Integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement nursing standards in the processes of care
- Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
- No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and all RTO must be submitted upfront as requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Local candidates are not eligible for this position
