Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN with a TX or compact license and at least 1 year of recent tele experience for a 13-week assignment on a med/surg tele unit.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, glucometer, mobilab, and Welch Allyn equipment
• EMR system is Meditech
• Required to float to other M/S tele units and the ED for inpatient hold patients
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring and wound care to cardiac and med/surg patients
• Work alongside a care team including CNC, RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and a unit secretary
• Royal blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
