Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift Telemetry RN requiring IL licensure and 2+ years of stroke/neuro experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Required to work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Priority floating to similar units within the NorthShore system as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; temporary license accepted if permanent license application has been submitted
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• 2+ years of stroke/neuro experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Must pass an onsite EKG test on first day of orientation
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant unit within the last year
• New graduates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care for telemetry patients
• Orientation held every Monday with 16 hours of non-billable orientation time
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break in service before being considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• First-time travelers are not accepted due to travel experience requirement
