Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night-shift assignment requiring at least one year of recent telemetry experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Telemetry unit caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30, Sunday through Saturday
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care telemetry experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute preferred (required for ER and Float Pool nurses)
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response skills
• Experience with IV therapy, central line and PICC line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a cardiac telemetry setting including monitoring, medication management, and emergency response
• Maintain skills in wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE use
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year to return as a traveler
• No time off requested within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days of RTO preferred per 13-week contract
