Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with a TX or compact license and 5 years of experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit with 100-200 facility births per month
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2
• Epic charting system required
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• On-call, weekend, floating, and holiday coverage may be required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• Military certifications accepted; AHA preferred; ARC not accepted
• Epic charting experience required
• State issued ID required prior to consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum settings
• Skills include fetal monitoring (external and internal), amnioinfusion, vaginal and C-section delivery assistance, and newborn care
• Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Support for high-risk deliveries, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension cases
• Lactation and breastfeeding support as part of postpartum care
• RTO requests limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during the Nov-Jan holiday season
• All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing
• Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower rate
