Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a rural critical access hospital, requiring NM or compact licensure and NRP certification.

Details

• Rural critical access hospital LDRP unit with 4 regular LDRP rooms, 1 triage room, and a well baby nursery
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:00-6:30) with alternating 36/48-hour weeks on a 7ON/7OFF block schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Task floating required, including mandatory floating to cover closed departments or to an affiliate hospital nearby
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, and S.T.A.B.L.E certifications preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care within an LDRP model
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial application, with no additional RTO approved after submission
• No RTO will be approved around holidays, and some holiday coverage should be expected
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous travelers to this facility are welcome to reapply; former permanent staff must obtain facility approval to return as travelers
