Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a float pool position requiring prior travel experience and a CPI Blue Card.

Details

• Float position within the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Shifts scheduled Sunday through Saturday with required weekend coverage
• Floating required across units
• EPIC experience required and must be documented in work history

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand for all Float Pool nurses
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Two supervisor references required
• EPIC charting system experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and respiratory support
• Experience with various specialty areas may be utilized, including cardiovascular, neurological, orthopedic, and renal patient care
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO preferred per 13-week contract
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
