Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift contract requiring at least 3 years of experience and IL licensure.
Details
- Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts
- Required to work every other weekend
- First to float among staff
- No on-call responsibilities
- EPIC EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active IL Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of Telemetry nursing experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
- 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant area within the last year
- At least one travel reference preferred
- EKG test score of 80% or higher required prior to consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to patients on continuous cardiac monitoring in a Telemetry unit
- Must work Thanksgiving Day and the Saturday following Thanksgiving
- On-site EKG competency test required on Day 1 of orientation, pass/fail, with a study guide provided in advance
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Returning former permanent or per diem staff must have been separated for at least 12 months to be eligible as a traveler
- RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts and 7 days for 13-week contracts
