Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Surgical Telemetry unit requiring 2 years of med-surg experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 19-bed Surgical Telemetry unit
• Unit staffed with RNs, LVNs, and PCTs on both day and night shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines
• Charting completed in Meditech
• Shift schedule is 7A-7P
• Floating may be required to Ortho Trauma or Inpatient Rehab units

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical experience required
• 1 year of recent experience in telemetry specialty required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide ambulation assistance and PRN wound care to patients
• Supportive team culture with staff collaboration during busy shifts
• Admission/discharge team assists with patient flow for medical-surgical patients
• Charge experience and preceptor experience are a plus
• Scrub color required is Royal Blue
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
