Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular surgical experience.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a hospital
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Possible on-call requirement
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required
• Strong experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular surgical cases required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• Minimum 1 professional reference from a supervisor or manager within the last year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Medical exemption required for flu vaccine declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a range of surgical specialties
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
