Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Operating Room position requiring an active MA RN license and BLS certification.

Details

Surgical Suites unit within a hospital setting
13-week assignment
Shift runs approximately 8:00am-8:30pm or 9:00am-9:30pm
Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
Current BLS certification (AHA only)
Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
Both NURSYS and BON verification required for nursing license
Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for surgical patients
Performs point of care testing and accurate documentation of patient response to treatment
Administers medications safely using BMV scanning
Communicates patient status effectively during clinical rounds and shift changes
Provides leadership in organizing patient care and may direct or supervise support staff
Participates in medical and psychiatric emergency response and post-event debriefing
Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of the facility, at a reduced rate
