Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a cardiac IR role requiring ARRT and 1+ years of community hospital experience in IR/Angio procedures.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a community hospital setting
• Daily caseload of approximately 25 patients
• 4x10 hour day shifts, either 7:00 AM-5:30 PM or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Rotating days off with call, weekend, and holiday coverage required
• No floating to sister facilities or outside scope required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Siemens equipment experience preferred

Requirements

• ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred
• BLS certification required
• Virginia state license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Proficiency with PACS, biopsies, and contrast administration required
• Experience with stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostogram, kyphoplasty, peripheral studies, drainages, abdominal/pelvic procedures, upper/lower extremity studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and LP myelogram skills required
• Experience with venous access, port accessing/management, central venous and PICC line care and maintenance required
• Experience with IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, and radioembolization required
• Experience with dialysis graft creation/revision and interventions, endovascular interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and TIPS required
• Experience with carotid angiography, discogram, embolization, stent placement, and vertebroplasty preferred
• Experience with genitourinary procedures including catheter/drain exchange, cystoscopy, nephrostomy, and ureteral stent placement required

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of IR/Angio procedures including vascular, neurological, and genitourinary studies
• Responsible for stocking supplies and maintaining PACS equipment
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• No radius restriction for local candidates
• RTO decisions made at manager's discretion
• Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation from the facility before rehire
• Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within 1 week of signing
