Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN with at least 1 year of skilled home health experience and proficiency in OASIS and HCHB documentation for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• Skilled Home Health setting serving adult patients
• Patient ratio of 1:1 with up to 6 patients per day and approximately 30 points per week in productivity
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• 4x10 and 3x12 schedules are not available
• Weekend support may be required
• On-call rotation may be required, to be discussed during interview
• Service area may extend up to approximately 60 miles or 60-90 minutes of total driving per day
• Uses Home Care Home Base (HCHB), Remote Client for Home Health on laptop, Rover phone application, and OASIS documentation

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required before start date; temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of skilled Home Health experience required
• OASIS experience required for staff completing Start of Care
• Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) required
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
• Skilled in wound care, medication administration and management, IV starts, phlebotomy, and infection control precautions
• Experience with clinical assessment documentation, vital signs, and pain assessment/management

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include admission assessments, recertifications, resumption of care, routine visits, and discharge documentation
• Facility makes efforts to group patient visits and minimize driving
• Mileage reimbursed at current IRS standard rate
• Business casual attire required; no jeans; scrubs permitted but not required with no specific color
• Free parking available
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be automatically approved
• One holiday approval permitted among Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• First-time travelers accepted, provided they have home health experience
• Local clinicians accepted within a 50-75 mile radius at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must be separated for a minimum of 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs accepted, though each traveler is assigned their own territory and must have their own transportation
