Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care position requiring a CO or compact RN license and prior progressive care experience.

Details

• Work in a 32-bed Intermediate Care/Stepdown unit managing drips and more acute patients
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, 1900-0730
• Weekend shifts required
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license, single state or CO/compact required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required, not expiring prior to start
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in progressive/intermediate care nursing required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including ongoing health status monitoring
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic/restorative treatment directly or through delegation and supervision
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, and document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screening results, with reporting to the lab within 24 hours of commitment
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
