Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and MN licensure.

Details

• Work in a combined adult/pediatric general Emergency Department
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center environment
• Evening shift schedule with rotating start times (3x12 hours): 0900-2130, 1100-2330, or 1500-0330
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; PALS and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, with 3 years of ED experience preferred
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experienced travelers preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient presentations including pediatrics, trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric cases
• Manage high-acuity patients including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, and spinal cord injuries
• Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
• Experience with ventilated patients, chest tube management, and ABG interpretation preferred
• Facility is a STEMI and Stroke Certified Center
• Orthopedic care including splint application and ortho trauma management
