Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring a VA or compact license and 2+ years of ER experience.

Details

• 97-bed acute care hospital with a 24-hour Emergency Department
• All patient populations across the full age spectrum
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment with every other weekend required
• Rare floating to units appropriate to skill or as a set of hands
• Uses Meditech EHR
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
• 2+ years of ER nursing experience required
• Proficient in phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
• Self-motivated, self-sufficient, and able to perform all ER tasks independently
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients across all age groups
• Maintain a patient-centered approach focused on creating a positive experience for patients and families while meeting operational metrics
• Work within a team-oriented environment
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
