Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute Care Hospital setting treating adolescents and adults
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred and must be noted in work history
• California state license required if applicable
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
• Experience with documentation, assessment, evaluation, plan of care, and reassessments
• Familiarity with equipment including bed alarms, call lights, crutches, gait belts, Hoyer lifts, shoulder slings, sit-to-stand lifts, sliding boards, standard walkers, and wheelchairs

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and reassessment within an acute care hospital environment
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred
