Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of recent L&D experience and the ability to circulate and recover C-sections.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• 13-week assignment length
• Required to float between two facilities for ICU/ICCU coverage as needed, with all other floating within scope
• Epic charting system used, with a test-out option available

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required in hand
• 2 years of current, strong Labor and Delivery experience required
• Experience circulating C-sections and C-section recovery required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required; AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy including starting and maintaining IVs
• Flu vaccination required for this system, with exemption documentation needed upfront for review
• One reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Manage labor and delivery patient care including circulating and recovering C-sections
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• No mile radius rule in place
• Previous travelers must wait 12 months before returning, with case-by-case review possible within that timeframe
• No more than 10 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, preferably not during the first week of the assignment
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
