Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift hospital position requiring EPIC EMR experience and SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required, subject to unit needs
• Floating required to other units or facilities as needed based on census
• Uses EPIC for documentation and Omnicell for medication dispensing

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a MS/Tele unit required
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy and blood product administration required
• Experience with Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, CVA, and Total Joint Replacement preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for medical/surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring, including dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac emergency response
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible, with reduced eligibility between 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift travelers in this specialty must reside 50+ miles from the contracted campus, with reduced eligibility between 50-99.9 miles and ineligibility under 50 miles
