Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a cardiovascular hospital setting requiring IL licensure and 2+ years of cardiovascular nursing experience.

Details

• Cardiovascular med/surg unit (4 North) within a cardiovascular-focused hospital
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract length
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required to any unit in an RN capacity with full patient ratio expectations
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; temporary licenses accepted if proof of permanent application submission is provided
• BLS certification required (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required
• New graduates not accepted
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• Two current supervisor/manager/charge references from a similar care area required within the last year; a travel reference is preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a cardiovascular-focused hospital environment
• On Day 1 of orientation, travelers must pass an onsite EKG test (pass/fail) after reviewing a provided study guide
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from employment for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Hospital conducts a brief interview (10-15 minutes) prior to assignment confirmation
