Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility, requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care Level 1 trauma cardiac cath lab with 6 suites/labs
• Average of 10 to 15 cases per day
• Cath lab operates separately from IR and EP units
• Uses EPIC EMR, PACS, and McKesson cardiology systems
• 9-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
• On-call duties on a rotational basis, approximately 8-9 shifts per month, with 30-minute call response time
• Techs are not required to float at this time
• Primary charge nurse covers 0600-1530 and takes call but does not routinely complete cases

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience required
• ARRT and BLS certifications required
• IEMA certification required
• Active IL license required if applicable
• Previous cath lab experience required; pediatric experience preferred but not required
• McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to scrub, monitor hemodynamics, and circulate during procedures
• Negative drug screen required for all panels

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Unit-specific orientation typically lasts 3 to 5 days
• Mandatory call list utilized when staff cannot fulfill their call shift
• Cardiologists are on call 24/7, 365 days a year
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rate available for clinicians within 50 miles of the facility
• RTO must be listed at time of consideration
• COVID vaccination not required for this facility
