Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Main Operating Room Days position requiring Level 1/2 Trauma experience and scrub/circulator skills

Details

• Main Operating Room setting including Main, ASC, and Ortho suites
• Patient population ranges from outpatient to critical care inpatient
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Utilizes various OR equipment including DaVinci robotic surgical system
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, 4x10, 0630-1700
• Weekend hours required as needed by facility
• Call requirements apply any scheduled day, averaging 5 or fewer per 8 weeks
• Floating required as needed by facility

Requirements

• Active RN license eligible for Missouri licensure or current MO/compact license
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 2 years Level 1 or 2 Trauma OR experience required (teaching hospital experience considered)
• Scrub and OR Circulator experience required
• Strong communication and human relations skills required
• Must be able to stand and walk for most of shift
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 15 lbs, and minimally kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1, with no declinations accepted

Additional Information

• Assist Vascular Surgeon in OR and Hybrid Imaging suite
• Work alongside a team of nurses and surgical techs on Endo and Open cases
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with facility standards
• Black scrub color required; jeans and unprofessional attire not permitted
• Highly motivated, self-starter personality preferred
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted
