Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU night shift position requiring 2+ years of Level III/IV NICU experience and teaching hospital experience.

Details

• Work in a NICU and Pediatric Critical Care setting at a teaching hospital
• Performs neonatal/pediatric ventilator management including CPAP, BiPAP, and high frequency oscillator
• Performs airway management including intubation assist, suctioning, and tracheostomy care/management
• Administers medications via various delivery systems including nebulizers, MDIs, and aerosol setups
• Administers Nitric Oxide (iNO)
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Floating to different units required for most positions depending on assignment needs

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• RRT certification required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• OH state license required (license required if applicable)
• License must be in hand at time of submission
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures including CPAP, nasal CPAP, and oscillating ventilators
• Two supervisory references required, with at least one from a manager or supervisor

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to NICU and pediatric critical care patients
• Candidates who have worked permanently for the facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
• 60-mile radius rule applies for local candidates
• No call/no show policies are strictly enforced
