Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring RRT certification and 1+ years of experience across critical care and emergency settings.

Details

• 3x12 night shift schedule (18:30-07:00)
• Provides care across ED, Medical Surgical, ICU, PACU, Ambulatory, and stepdown units
• Treats neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations
• Performs oxygen therapy, ventilator management, breathing treatments, bedside PFTs, bedside bronchoscopies, and ABGs in ED
• Patient ratio of 1:10
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation

Requirements

• RRT and BLS certifications required
• ACLS, NBRC, and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Wisconsin or Compact license required if applicable; pending license accepted at submission but must be obtained during compliance
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• First-time travelers considered based on experience level

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and breathing treatments across multiple units
• Perform bedside pulmonary function tests and bedside bronchoscopies
• NIHSS certification may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance
• Badge photo (passport-style) required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
• Facility cannot accommodate candidates with latex allergies
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced rate
• Travelers may return to the facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
• Travel pairs accepted
