Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN requiring a NH or compact license, 2+ years of home health experience, and the ability to perform admissions and OASIS assessments.
Details
- Home Health setting serving adult patients
- Caseload of approximately 6 visits per day
- 4x10 day shift schedule, Thursday-Sunday or Friday-Monday, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM
- Weekend work required
- No call or floating requirements
- 8-hour unit orientation provided
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross only)
- Minimum 2 years of home health experience required
- Must be able to perform admissions and complete OASIS assessments
- Experience with peripheral IV, central line, and port care and management
- Phlebotomy skills required
- Experience with blood glucose/glucometer management
- Wound care and pressure ulcer prevention/management experience
- Experience with G-tube site care and nutritional assessment
- Medication administration and management skills
- Oxygen safety and administration experience
- Urinary and suprapubic catheter management experience
- Drain management experience
- Clinical assessment documentation and infection control precaution skills
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing admissions, OASIS documentation, routine visits, and documenting significant changes in condition
- Scrub color/style is flexible
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
- Former employees of any facility associated with the health system are not eligible for travel assignments, regardless of separation length
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
