Description

American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical Oncology RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of oncology/med-surg experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical Oncology unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Cerner charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an RN
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI Blue Card (in-hand, online or MAB CPI not accepted)
• EPIC experience required and must be documented in work history
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Community hospital and LTAC experience required
• Experience with oncology care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE
• Two supervisor references required at time of application

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric oncology and med-surg patients
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and port access for chemotherapy and other treatments
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy per protocol
• Perform wound care and manage isolation precautions as needed
• Participate in cardiac monitoring and emergency response as required
• First-time travelers are not typically accepted for this role, though exceptions may apply as noted in the position description
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel
• Previous UC employees must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible to return as a travaccepted lers
• No RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days of RTO preferred over the 13-week contract
