Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, CPI Blue Card, and EPIC experience.

Details

• Non-trauma Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Treats pediatric and adult patients across a wide range of emergency conditions including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and trauma cases

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Required certifications in-hand: ACLS, BLS, CPI Blue Card, NIHSS, PALS
• CPI Blue Card must be from the Crisis Prevention Institute; MAB or online CPI Blue certification not accepted
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Prior travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Two supervisor references required
• Experience with skills such as triage, 12-lead EKG interpretation, IV therapy, dysrhythmia management, procedural sedation, and PPE/isolation precautions

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of medical, psychiatric, and trauma presentations
• Responsibilities include triage, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and management of critically ill or injured patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Previous permanent staff must be gone a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred
