Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with ARDMS OB/GYN & NT certification and 2+ years of high-risk OB/GYN ultrasound experience.

Details

Work across 6 ultrasound rooms at one hospital and 2 rooms at a sister hospital within the same high risk pregnancy clinic
Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily and report findings to 3 MFM physicians
Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
Patient population includes maternal and fetal high-risk conditions requiring detailed ultrasound imaging
1:1 patient ratio
Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system
Epic EMR experience required
5x8 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
No nights, weekends, or on-call requirements
May float within scope to meet facility needs

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a sonographer required
BLS, ARDMS, and ARDMS OB/GYN & NT certifications required
OB/GYN and outpatient experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Experience with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester ultrasounds, fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, nuchal translucency screen, amniotic fluid index, and umbilical cord doppler required
Skilled in transvaginal and transabdominal imaging of renal/pelvis, ovaries, and uterus
Compact state license must be in hand at submission
License required if applicable
Full SSN and DOB required for compliance
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

Role involves performing detailed high-risk OB ultrasounds and reporting findings to MFM physicians
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Scrubs of any color without print are permitted
First-time travelers will be considered
Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Returning travelers may return after 3 months
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius for travel pay rate eligibility
RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
