Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring Neuro/Stroke experience and compact or CO state licensure.

Details

• Med Surg 2 unit in a hospital setting
• 3x12hr Night shifts, 1900-0730
• Required to work weekends based on staffing needs
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift depending on staffing levels
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license, Single State or Compact, valid in CO
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certification required, must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for unit or service
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Neuro/Stroke specialty experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care including health teaching and counseling
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
• Background check and drug screen results required prior to start, with turnaround of at least 2 weeks
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
