Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg (Med Ortho) night shift position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Med Ortho unit within a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week
• Night shift schedule: 3x12hr shifts, 1900-0730
• 8 weekend shifts required per 8-week schedule
• On-call is optional
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license, Colorado or Compact, required (no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required and must not expire before start date
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg specialty required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must provide date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients
• Provides health teaching, counseling, and patient referrals as needed
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of the health system and abides by service behavior standards
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
• Background check and drug screening results required, with candidates expected to complete drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
